We have strong links with Uppingham C of E Primary School and regularly come together for community events such as Christmas and Summer Fairs, school discos, Christmas lunch, and special assemblies. Being part of these shared experiences helps children feel connected to the wider school community and supports important sibling and family links.

Transition to school is especially well supported for children moving on to Uppingham C of E Primary School. School staff regularly visit the Pre-School, allowing children to become familiar with them in a relaxed and reassuring way. During the Summer Term, their new teacher visits more frequently as part of the transition process, and children have opportunities to visit their new classroom, just a short walk across the hall.

These experiences help children build confidence, develop a sense of belonging, and ensure a smooth, positive transition so they feel happy and ready to begin their school journey.
